L'adattatore misura una lunghezza di 7.5 cm per un diametro di 3.8 cm.
L'attacco a vite è il più comune ed è stato brevettato da Thomas Edison nel 1909, sotto il marchio Mazda e viene chiamato proprio per questo motivo "attacco Edison". Il numero che segue la E sta ad indicare il diametro della vite stessa e nel nostro caso E14 (attacco piccolo) indica il diametro di 1.4 cm. Questa tipologia di attacco viene comunemente definita "mignon" e dove la tensione di una rete domestica comune è compresa tra i 220 e i 240V.
