Il genere Trichoderma è uno dei più importanti tra i funghi utili alle piante ed è capace di esercitare la propria attività con diverse modalità
I vari ceppi di trichoderma alimentati da Asperium producono speciali sostanze capaci di aumentare la robustezza e la vitalità della pianta
Inoltre possiedono una attività fitostimolante che si esplica mediante la produzione di sostanze ormonosimili utili allo sviluppo della pianta
Asperium consente di smobilizzare parte del fosforo insolubile presente nel terreno, rendendolo disponibile per la pianta, e di degradare i residui organici
