La temperatura consigliata per il bagnetto è compresa tra i 35° e i 38°C (temperatura indicata sul prodotto con OK). Mescolare l’acqua per evitare zone più calde ed immergere il termometro assicurandosi che la striscia termica sia completamente coperta dall’acqua. Attendere circa un minuto e leggere la temperatura mentre il termometro è ancora nell'acqua. Se la temperatura dell’acqua è compresa tra i 32° e i 38°C, il valore rilevato si colorerà in verde. Se la temperatura dell’acqua è inferiore ai 32°C/90°F sulla striscia termica comparirà un pallino azzurro in corrispondenza della scritta Lo; se è superiore ai 38°C-100°F comparirà un pallino rosso in corrispondenza della scritta Hi.
