Il distanziatore a montaggio superficiale aumenta la flessibilità nel montaggio delle luci subacquee APELO. Invece di forare lo specchio di poppa, è possibile far passare il cavo attraverso il lato in una posizione sopra l’acqua o in un punto in cui l’accesso interno è molto più favorevole. Il distanziatore è dotato di una superficie di 5 gradi che consente di regolare con precisione la direzione della luce: utile se si preferisce che la luce sia diretta verso il lato, o per evitare che un ostacolo, come un motore fuoribordo o un trim tab, blocchi parte della luce. Questo angolo può essere utilizzato anche per compensare un angolo di poppa.
