Gli acidi carbossilici sono molecole molto appetibili dalle piante, perché fanno parte integrante del loro metabolismo, contrariamente all’EDTA (etilen-diamino-tetracetico)
La via d’entrata preferenziale del ferro carbossilato (FERRO 8) nella pianta è quella fogliare, tuttavia è possibile anche l’applicazione per via radicale
