Il segnale video analogico, sia CVBS che AHD/CVI/TVI, può essere sporcato da interferenze dovute a campi elettromagnetici che il cavo video incontra lungo il percorso. Le principali cause di disturbo sono i ritorni di terra, dovuti al diverso potenziale dei punti di massa dell'impianto e il passaggio di correnti alternate in cavi adiacenti. Si tratta di perturbazioni in bassa frequenza, contro le quali la schermatura del cavo è inefficace.
Se sul tuo monitor compaiono immagini lievemente distorte o bande mobili sullo sfondo, questo isolatore di terra può aiutarti perché interrompe la continuità della massa, pur consentendo la trasmissione del video. Si collega lungo il cavo video, preferibilmente dove il cavo proveniente dalla telecamera si collega al resto dell'impianto. Questo isolatore è adatto a telecamere analogiche ad alta definizione AHD, TVI, CVI, CVBS.
