Il bolo è un'argilla molto plastica, utilizzata nella tecnica di doratura. Versione colore giallo.
Uso:
miscelare con la colla di coniglio, e scaldare a bagnomaria. Una volta steso il bolo, far asciugare e bagnare con una soluzione di acqua e colla. Applicare quindi la foglia d'oro sulla superficie ancora bagnata. Una volta che tutto sarà asciutto, procedere con la brunitura della foglia oro usando la punta d'agata fino ad ottenere la brillantezza desiderata.
