Il Karkadè, propriamente Hibiscus Sabdariffa, è noto per le proprietà rinfrescanti ed astringenti dei suoi grandi fiori rossi, nonché per le proprietà toniche e regolatrici delle funzioni epatiche. Viene coltivato anche in Ceylon, Indonesia ed India.
INGREDIENTI: Karkadé, Hibiscus Sabdariffa, in taglio tisana.
COLORE: Rosso brillante.
AROMI E PROFUMI: Penetrante vaghe note di frutta.
SAPORE: Gradevolmente aspro.
PREPARAZIONE: 3/4 gr. per 150/200 cc. di acqua alla temperatura di 95° lasciare in infusione 5-6 minuti.
COME BERLO: C'è chi lo prepara per decotto e le ricette variano molto da paese a paese. Bevanda diffusa in molte zone dell'Africa, dove viene bevuto con zucchero e talvolta menta fresca. COME BERLO: Tutto il giorno. Bere puro o con zucchero. Ottimo freddo in estate con foglie di menta fresca.
