L'adattatore passivo Power over Ethernet (PoE) consente di fornire alimentazione ai dispositivi che funzionano in reti LAN tramite un cavo twistato a 4 coppie (ad esempio UTP).
Utilizzando questa soluzione è possibile alimentare il punto di accesso posizionato in una custodia ermeticamente sigillata vicino all'antenna (per ridurre le perdite del cavo di antenna) tramite il doppino dell'alimentatore all'interno dell'edificio. Il kit comprende due dispositivi passivi indicati nelle immagini. Sono dotati di connettore RJ-45 integrato e connettore 2.1/5.5 mm che sono adatti ai dispositivi WLAN più diffusi sul mercato
