Conosciuto anche come "Tè degli Incas", si ottiene dalla lavorazione della corteccia interna della Tabebuia, una pianta appartenenete alle Bignoniacee, diffusa in Sud America. Nella tradizione delle tribù amazzoniche possiede una nomea vasta di secoli in quanto gli sono state attribuite funzioni antimalariche, antinfettive, antiparassitarie, fungicide e batteriostatiche. Le ricerche moderne stanno verificando le sue proprietà antiossidanti, antibatteriche, antivirali e antimicotiche.
INGREDIENTI: Lapacho.
COLORE: Ambrato
AROMI E PROFUMI: Intenso di legno, note pungenti.
SAPORE: Corrispondente all'aroma, leggermente piccante.
PREPARAZIONE: Tradizionalmente viene preparato per decotto, abitualmente lo prepara con 2 cucchiaini da dessert in un litro d'acqua bollente, si lascia cuocere 5 minuti, si copre e si lascia riposare ancora 10/15 minuti. Da ultimo, si filtra e si beve. E' privo di caffeina, ma è consigliabile solo ad un consumatore adulto, anche per il gusto particolare.
