La Plumeria "Cabaret" (Frangipani, Pomelia) è una pianta tropicale. I colori dei fiori di questa plumeria, cambiano a seconda dell' esposizione alla luce, passando da una tonalità giallina ad una più rossa.
Da giovane ha un tronco carnoso che da grande diventa legnoso, foglie decidue, e non ha bisogno di cure particolari. E' una pianta ornamentale per esterni e interni originaria della Thailandia, si adatta anche alla coltivazione in appartamento ed è particolarmente apprezzata per abbellire appartamenti, giardini o terrazzi.

In inverno la Plumeria perde le foglie, non ha bisogno di essere annaffiata. In primavera vegeta e nel periodo estivo fiorisce.

Particolarmente resistente alle alte temperature. Non tollera temperature rigide (al di sotto di 8 C°). Consigliabile ricoverare la Plumeria all'interno in inverno. Ricollocarla all'esterno quando le temperature sono miti.
