La Plumeria "Pinwheel" (Frangipani, Pomelia) è una pianta tropicale. Fiori rosa con bordi scuri, petali rotondi, in centro giallo bordato di rosa scuro. Ha numerosi grappoli di fiori dal profumo floreale. Il suo apice di fioritura si ha a metà stagione mostrando i suoi fitti grappoli pieni di fiori. Dal portamento medio, la rende particolarmente robusto.
Da giovane ha un tronco carnoso che da grande diventa legnoso, foglie decidue, e non ha bisogno di cure particolari. E' una pianta ornamentale per esterni e interni originaria della Thailandia, si adatta anche alla coltivazione in appartamento ed è particolarmente apprezzata per abbellire appartamenti, giardini o terrazzi.

In inverno la Plumeria perde le foglie, non ha bisogno di essere annaffiata. In primavera vegeta e nel periodo estivo fiorisce.
Annaffiare quando il terriccio è asciutto. Sospendere durante l'inverno.
Particolarmente resistente alle alte temperature. Non tollera temperature rigide (al di sotto di 8 C°). Consigliabile ricoverare la Plumeria all'interno in inverno. Ricollocarla all'esterno quando le temperature sono miti.
Durante la stagione di crescita usare un fertilizzante per piante fiorite.
