La Plumeria "Pixie Dust" (Frangipani, Pomelia) è una pianta tropicale. I fiori dai colori vivaci aumentano di numero man mano che la pianta cresce. I petali dal color bianco e rosa hanno una fragranza dal profumo di cannella.
Da giovane ha un tronco carnoso che da grande diventa legnoso, foglie decidue, e non ha bisogno di cure particolari. E' una pianta ornamentale per esterni e interni originaria della Thailandia, si adatta anche alla coltivazione in appartamento ed è particolarmente apprezzata per abbellire appartamenti, giardini o terrazzi.

In inverno la Plumeria perde le foglie, non ha bisogno di essere annaffiata. In primavera vegeta e nel periodo estivo fiorisce.
