L'abbreviazione CCT sta per "Controlled Color Temperature", ovvero Temperatura di Colore Controllata. Sebbene i termini "CCT" e "Tunable White" vengano spesso usati indistintamente, esiste una differenza. Infatti la tecnologia CCT offre la possibilità di regolare la tonalità della luce bianca emessa della lampada, ma questo è possibile solo manualmente e non tramite app o telecomando come la luce Tunable White. Le lampade CCT rendono possibile cambiare le tonalità della luce bianca tramite un piccolo interruttore posizionato sulla lampada stessa, ma questo deve essere azionato nuovamente ogni volta che si vuole modificare la temperatura di colore. Inoltre, con l'aiuto dell'interruttore si può sì impostare la tonalità di bianco desiderata, ma è possibile decidere tra poche opzioni specifice, come per esempio 3.000 K, 4.000 K e 6.000 K
