La resina poliuretanica viene utilizzata per la protezione meccanica e l’isolamento elettrico anche in applicazioni che ne prevedono l’immersione in acqua.
Viene classificata come LIMMP- LMP (isolamento a bassa-media tensione e reticolazione in presenza di acqua) in accordo alla norma Cenelec HD 631.1 S2.
I vantaggi della resina poliuretanica sono: elevata resistenza all’urto e all’abrasione, elevata idrorepellenza, polimerizzazione anche in acqua, elevate proprietà di scorrimento, eccellente resistenza idrolitica, elevata protezione alla corrosione, adesione eccellente a tutte le tipologie di cavi in plastica, temperatura di reazione esotermica bassa, miscela libera da alogeni, grado di polimerizzazione elevato anche a basse temperature, buste trasparenti per un immediato controllo.
