Detto anche tè rosso, non è un vero tè, poiché non proviene dalla Camelia Sinensis, ma è il prodotto della lavorazione delle parti aeree e dei rametti dell'Asphalatus Linearis, un arbusto che cresce in Sudafrica.Consumato dalle popolazioni locali, è divenuto bevanda nazionale.
E' privo di caffeina ed è allo studio in molte Università per le sue proprietà salutari. Viene considerato una vera e propria miniera di antiossidanti e viene usato per lenire i dolori delle coliche addominali.
INGREDIENTI: Rooibos
COLORE: Rosso spento.
AROMI E PROFUMI: Note di legno e spezie, avvolgente e dolciastro.
SAPORE: Morbido, piacevole, dolce, note di legno.
PREPARAZIONE: 2-3 gr. per 150/200 cc. di acqua alla temperatura di 95° lasciare in infusione 4-5 minuti. C'è chi lo prepara per decotto.
COME BERLO: Tutto il giorno. Bere puro o con zucchero. C'è chi aggiunge una nuvolina di latte. Dolci alla frutta, ma anche frutta secca.
