si riferiscono ad una varietà di cardo bianco senza spine che produce grandi capolini fioriti commestibili. Questi semi sono di alta qualità e sono spesso utilizzati dagli appassionati di orticoltura per coltivare la pianta del cardo in giardini o orti.
La pianta del cardo "Plein blanc inerme" è una varietà resistente e vigorosa, che cresce fino ad una altezza di circa 1,5-2 metri. Le foglie sono grandi, verdi e lucide, con una forma allungata e frastagliata. I capolini fioriti, che si sviluppano sulla cima del fusto, sono di colore bianco e possono raggiungere un diametro di circa 10-15 cm.
Il cardo "Plein blanc inerme" è una pianta biennale, che produce i fiori commestibili solo nel secondo anno di vita. I fiori, che si raccolgono prima che si aprano completamente, sono molto apprezzati per il loro sapore dolce e delicato, simile a quello dei carciofi. Possono essere cucinati in vari modi, tra cui lessati, fritti o arrostiti.
