I semi di cima di rapa "Riccia di marzo" hanno una forma ovale e di colore marrone chiaro. Sono piuttosto piccoli, con un diametro di circa 2-3 millimetri.
Questa varietà di cima di rapa è nota per la sua resa elevata e la facilità di coltivazione. Le piante raggiungono un'altezza di circa 30-40 centimetri e hanno foglie di un verde intenso e lucido. La pianta produce infiorescenze giallo brillante, che hanno una forma tondeggiante.
Le infiorescenze sono commestibili e hanno un sapore leggermente amaro e piccante, molto apprezzato in cucina. Possono essere consumate crude in insalata oppure cotte in vari piatti come pasta, risotti, minestre o saltati in padella con aglio e olio.
I semi di cima di rapa "Riccia di marzo" possono essere seminati in piena terra a partire dal mese di marzo, come suggerisce il loro nome, ma anche in autunno per avere una produzione anticipata.
