La sua struttura lo rende più luminoso rispetto ai più comuni tubi led, la sua luminosità si diffonde in modo uniforme su entrambi i lati. L'effetto è quello dei tubi a neon.
Si può impiegare sia per decorazioni interne che esterne, per comporre ad esempio delle scritte luminose.
La decorazione non presenta però lo stesso livello di modellabilità del tubo luminoso classico perché si può piegare solo lungo un lato e non in tutte le angolazioni, essendo di forma non rotonda.
È dotato di un memory controller che serve a selezionare uno tra gli 8 giochi di luci disponibili (luce fissa compresa) e a mantenere in memoria l'effetto selezionato prima dello spegnimento.
Funziona con la normale corrente di casa a 230V. NON è possibile tagliare, accorciare né prolungare il tubo.
