All’interno di ogni pannello solare fotovoltaico si trovano delle celle fotovoltaiche in grado di trasformare l'energia solare in energia elettrica, grazie appunto all'effetto fotovoltaico. Ogni cella è di dimensioni 182x91mm. Su ogni modulo vi sono 144 celle disposte a matrice 24x6. Le celle sono realizzate con la tecnologia tedesca più performante, anche in condizioni di scarsa luminosità, con un sistema di autoriduzione del calore che previene la perdita di energia.
Il coefficiente termico del modulo fotovoltaico è -0.34%/°C, rispetto alla temperatura di 25°C. Questo significa che se il pannello fotovoltaico lavora ad esempio a 34°C, la perdita di resa in termini di potenza sarà pari al 3,4%.
