Permettono di offrire ospitalità a un pipistrello sul terrazzo o in giardino. Realizzata in legno di pino d'importazione. Superficie interna scanalata per agevolare l'approdo dei pipistrelli. Quando il pipistrello la lascia durante il periodo invernale può essere pulita con estrema facilità. Questo aspetto é molto importante in quanto una casetta abitata per esempio da api, non sarebbe più di interesse per i pipistrelli nella primavera successiva. Si consiglia di posizionare la bat box il più in alto possibile, non meno di 4 metri, sulla parete della casa o su una pianta, lasciando uno spazio libero intorno alla casetta per consentire l'approdo dei pipistrelli. Più casette nella stessa area agevolano ulteriormente il ripopolamento, ma occorre sistemarle ad alcuni metri di distanza tra loro. La bat box offre un contributo concreto per la salvaguardia di una specie a rischio di estinzione e alleato prezioso nella lotta alle zanzare e agli insetti che danneggiano le nostre colture.
