La cera è una chiara figurazione solare, la fiamma è espressione della Luce; la candela accesa illumina la via, la candela spenta abbandona invece nel buio e nelle tenebre.

Le candele sono potenti catalizzatori di energie, soprattutto se abbinate a colori, erbe e pietre, per cui è bene che siano sempre presenti sull'altare. COME USARE LE CANDELE MAGICHE

Come usare le candele magiche è una conoscenza di base per le cerimonie. Prima di utilizzare le candele ad uso magico è preferibile strofinarle per tutta la loro lunghezza con oli adatti ai rituali magici; è anche necessario prepararsi delle orazioni da pronunciare durante i riti; ad esempio se si produce un rito atto ad attirare amore o fortuna ecco una preghiera da ripetere per tre volte nel corso del rito stesso:
