L’Aglio Rosso di Nubia è coltivato nei terreni scuri e argillosi di Paceco, in provincia di Trapani. Dopo la raccolta viene essiccato naturalmente e intrecciato a mano, secondo la tradizione locale. Si riconosce per le tuniche esterne bianche e per quelle interne di colore rosso vivo.
Le teste grandi racchiudono spicchi dal profumo intenso e dal gusto deciso, ideale per insaporire soffritti, salse, verdure, carni alla griglia, marinature e ricette tipiche come il pesto alla trapanese. La treccia da 1 kg consente di conservare facilmente l’aglio e di prelevare le singole teste al momento dell’utilizzo.
